Project Information

The initial visit from the customer was to gain an Insurance quotation for
repair work to the O/S of his vehicle as he was unable to find a local
bodyshop wanting to take this work on. Further discussions allowed us
to quote for additional work to the Bonnet, Scuttle Panel, Window
surrounds, N/S vehicle Step and N/S Stripe work, all had faded and
deteriorated in the sunlight.

We repaired all the damaged areas including Fibreglass work to the O/S
Step and then applied HS Primer. Once the primer had cured, we prepared
the vehicle for base colour application.

All 7 colours needed for the repairs were formulated and matched on site
by us to the existing paintwork and spray-outs kept for future requirements.

Base colour application starting with the Dark Pearl Blue used for the main
side stripe, window and scuttle areas.

This was followed by Light Blue metallic base on the O/S panels and Bonnet.
Once dry we applied the Silver base, fading into the Light Blue metallic.

The Red decal was added to the Bonnet, next we moved on to the stripes.
Once this task had been completed we carried out a final paint inspection
and panel clean ready for Clearcoat. After the baked and allowed to cool all
parts were refitted, vehicle had a valet and returned to the customer.
