Project Information

We initially took this Ford on as a complete restoration project that had
previously been started elsewhere.

After breaking the project down into manageable pieces, our start point was
with the Buck, Rear Guards & Tailgate.

Unfortunately whilst being delivered the top rails of the Buck were damaged
& were in need of replacing.

New top rails were fabricated along with end sections, together with a new
number plate aperture & removal of the box section frame work that the floor
was originally going to rest on.

We decided to increase the depth of the locking pin locations for the tailgate
whilst fabrication was being carried out. This will help to counter the body
roll & keep everything shut.

Once these fabrication areas had been completed we continued dressing
out any dents, replacing rust areas with new metal & finishing with lead
where required.

All panels were prepared & thoroughly cleaned before the spray application
of Epoxy Primer. This product has excellent adhesion & corrosion properties,
whilst giving a sound base to begin filler work on, followed by HS Primer.

All the items have been painted in Epoxy Primer & returned, hoping to
continue once the customer's personal circumstances change.
