Project Information
Customer had recently purchased this Caterham 7 with good engine
performance and suspension set up for track days. He felt that the
pearl base colour was looking
a little tired and was letting the overall appearance down. We spent
some time viewing colour options and decal ideas to meet with the
customer's requirements before settling with a basecoat Blue, Off
White for the decal work and black for the text.
All the front suspension was removed to allow access for sanding
and painting. New smaller headlamp's were painted and fitted together
with the fabrication of new alloy interior panels.
All decal work was painted including the Front No plate, (size
specified by customer), Front Mudguard edging, GB logo, Bonnet, Nose
Cone and side panels. These side panels had to be a specific size for
the use of track numbers.
We removed the rear mudguard alloy arch protectors, repaired the
existing rivet holes with fibreglass and once the paint was cured,
re-covered with clear film for stone chip protection.
The Rear No plate was repositioned from the back panel onto the O/S
mudguard and a small LED light installed to illuminate.
Photos showing panel's clearcoated are all gun finish showing the quality
produced, enhanced further by a light polish prior to handing back to
customer.
