Project Information
We were asked to paint this project to compliment all the fabrication
work that Harrison Billet had done. The owners wanted to display their
skills & work portfolio to potential clients at future business events &
between events would take pride of place in their own in-house display
area.
Customers specifications was for paintwork that enhanced the project,
with subtle tones & Graphics based around the Company’s use of Red
as the main colour. House of Kolor was the choice of paint for this
custom piece.
A colour plate with various options was completed & once agreed, we
set to work.
All panels were thoroughly cleaned & sanded, fabrication of infill plates
for the outer rear mudguards were welded in place. Filler work was
completed & House of Kolor Epoxy primer applied.
The Epoxy was allowed to stand for several days before sanding &
cleaning prior to painting all panels with Ko-Seal White. Red Pearl base
colour was applied followed by Marbilizer & SG 100.
This was sanded & Violet Kandy lightly applied over the Graphic
areas to create a subtle colour change allowing the Marbilizer to show
through, all panels were then coated with Apple Red Kandy followed
by Urethane Clearcoat, baked & allowed to stand for several days.
Panels were sanded & Harrison Billets logo was applied to tank &
outer mudguards, once completed more Clearcoat was applied.
