Project Information
The customer wanted us to use some original design layouts taken from
other models for his bike with something different for the pin line. Colour
options were discussed & agreed upon prior to starting.
Side panels were plastic welded & all flaking paint removed, tank &
all
other panels were repaired where required. Epoxy primer was applied to
the tank & allowed to stand for several days before being sanded & then
primed with HS surfacer along with the other panels.
All panels were then sanded & painted in Gloss Black, which again after
baking were allowed to stand.
Everything was sanded & design layout masked before painting Silver,
then re-masked for the Emerald Kandy pin line. Once all the base colours
were completed & fully dry, Clearcoat was applied, baked & allowed
to cure,
re-flatted & more Clearcoat before a final polish.
