Project Information
The owners of this Yamaha wanted something different & vibrant &
supplied reference material for Gothic style flames. We agreed
that Silver Flames with Apple Red Kandy as the base colour was
the way to go.
Before we started & due to heavy rust on the Mudguards & inner
bracing panel we decided to get these items shot blasted & the brace
powdercoated Black. Mudguard strut & bracket holes were then
welded up & all filler work completed before applying House of Kolor
Epoxy Primer.
The primed panels were then fixed to the bike to allow me to visually
layout the flames & take reference photos.
Once fully cured, we sanded & cleaned the panels before applying
Silver Ko-Seal followed by Silver Base, Apple Red Kandy & Clearcoat.
Panels were allowed to cure for several days before being re-sanded &
Flame work masked out & sprayed Silver before more Clearcoat.
Once polished, we refitted the panels & handed the Yamaha back to
customers.
