Project Information

The customer brought his petrol tank in for repainting the underneath areas
due to lack of colour and runs in the base colour being present.

Affected areas were sanded, Etch and Surfacer was then applied in a
localised area, baked and sanded.

As basecoat colour was only being applied to the lower tank areas, I
prepared the rest of the panel for Clearcoat only. This allowed the
Decals round the fuel cap to stay on.

Once the base colour had flashed off sufficiently, Clearcoat was then
applied and baked, allowed to cool down prior to a light polish before
handing back to customer.
