Project Information
The ML had hail damage to the Bonnet, O/S wing and complete N/S.
The sides were repaired due to the size of damage, masked and Etch
Primer and HS Surfacer applied. This was then sanded and the other
panels prepared for paintwork.
We produced a spray card to check for colour reproduction prior to
painting.
Due to the amount of damage to the bonnet a new one was bought
and painted separately from the vehicle.
Pictures show ML in Surfacer, ready for painting, cooling down
after bake, prior to polish.
The next stage after polish was to refit any items ready for valet
and hand over to customer.
Compliant Waterborne Basecoat and HS Clearcoat are used on all
paint work. Mercedes stipulate for Warranty reasons that their
vehicles are refinished using an anti-scratch Clearcoat and not
the usual HS product.
