We were contacted by this Mopar customer to repair & paint his 1968 Dodge Charger RT within a tight time frame, ready for an American car show held at Brooklyn’s Motor museum which he organised.
The original colour choice was reformulated using a slightly coarser metallic, sprayed out & agreed upon prior to work starting. Initial sanding revealed flaking paint & previously repaired panels in filler. These areas were sanded out & the existing filler was coarse blocked to remove any excess & gave us a good straight base to build from & spray primer to.
Lecher, salmon orange pearl base colour & clear coat was applied, baked & allowed to cool, we then applied the distinctive Mopar stripe work in black & re-clear coated the panels. The 68 Charger had a light polish & was picked up by the customer in time for him to fit up, apart from the vinyl roof, before the show.
We are pleased to say that this beautiful 1968 Dodge Charger has been the winner in many national shows including Buster Lang & American Speed Fest at Brands Hatch, suppling its proud owner with some fantastic trophies along the way.
