The owner of Rectory Classics, a respectable Jaguar restoration company asked if we would undertake the paint work for a Jaguar XK140 that they were working on. Metal work had been completed & handed to us for body repairs & paintwork.
We carried out body repair work, including using aluminium filler for the doors, re-aligned & panel gapped all bolt on panels & applied Epoxy primer to the Jaguar XK140. This included inside wing panels, interior & exterior of floor pans, dash panel, engine bay & engine side panels. Once cure we applied seam sealer to panel joints & painted inner body panels in customers colour choice of Dove Grey.
All exterior panels were then carefully dry sanded to enhance panel straightness, masked & spray painted in the same colour followed by Max Meyer clearcoat. We then carried out a detailed wet flat & compound using Scholl Concept products to further enhance the visual appearance before handing vehicle back to Rectory Classics.
